This last spring i spent 2 months building my freighter 19, i also designed
and built a center console with controls for the yamaha 9.9 4 stroke high thrust
with electric start, power tilt and trim, complete with tilt steering at the
helm with engine controls. 2 swivel seats. red and white L.E.D. courtesy lights
inside. 4 speaker marine stereo with ipod and weather radio. also 2 dagger
boards that mount onto a plate on each side with a mount for the out rigger
hulls and full sail rig from BSD sails. i also built a drop down rudder mounted
on the yamaha 9.9 to steer while sailing. it has 6 rod holder mounts, a roller
anchor setup. all the sail controls are at the center console right at your
finger tips. i made a few modifications for strength and the boat turned out
great.
My brother and i did a 200 km journey on Quesnel lake BC and used 11 litres of
fuel and we packed heavy for a 10 day trip.
Thanks for making a great boat kit. i am proud to use it. every where i go
people stop to take a picture and ask questions.
