Material is BS 1088 Okoume mahogany plywood.
Length 12', Beam 27", Cockpit (I.D.) 31&1/8" X 17.5", Depth 12.25", Weight 32 lbs.

Construction time 85 to 110 hours depending on whether customer builds it as a regular kayak or a take-a-part.

Front section is 40.25" long, centre section is 56.25", and rear section is 47.5".
No tools required to join three sections.

for this beautiful take-a-part you are only limited by your imagination.  Store it in your apartment, house, cottage,
garage, or under your desk at the office.  Carry it with you when you travel by land, sea or air.  Use it as a tender for
your sailboat and store it below deck.
With a 27 inch beam the Lightning 12 is a very stable boat that tracks and turns beautifully. There is ample storage
space in her front and rear hatches and the low deck at the rear of the cockpit allows you to roll with ease.
We are excited to introduce this beautiful take-a-part kayak to a new group of enthusiasts who can enjoy the
experience of building and paddling this versatile craft.

The manual for the take-a-part version is not ready, only the very handy should attempt the take-apart kit at this time.  We offer telephone support as needed with all of our kits.
