Hurricane Katrina and WatersDancing donation to the Red Cross - Sept 2005

All of us here at Waters Dancing felt that the devastation caused by hurricane Katrina was so enormous that we had to help out in any way that we could.  We contributed $100.00 Canadian from each kit sold in Canada and the continental US, during the month of September, to the Red Cross to help support and assist those in need.

We wish to thank all of those who purchased kits and helped us to assist all those who were and still are being affected by this catastrophic occurrence.

Our hearts go out to all of the people living in those areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina and we encourage every one to donate what they can to the charity of their choice in support of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Hi Don,:

This letter is a follow-up to the auction of our kayak on A-Channel’s Big Breakfast, March 27, which raised $4100.00 for the Alberta Foundation for Diabetes Research.

We thank A-Channel’s Big Breakfast for giving Waters Dancing this rare opportunity to help the Alberta Foundation for Diabetes Research and at the same time allow us to showcase our beautiful boats these past two months.  Don Moore is the owner of Waters Dancing and his father suffered from Diabetes.  It is our hope that fund raising projects like this will assist the Alberta Foundation for Diabetes Research in finding a cure for this complex disease.

We had no way of predicting the amount of exposure, goodwill and increased business this project would create for Waters Dancing.  A special thanks to you, Don, for suggesting that we build a boat on the Big Breakfast to be auctioned off for a charity of our choice.  Thanks to Mark Scholz and Kelly Banks and all the staff of the Big Breakfast for all their support and help with this project.

It was hard work but it is very rewarding to know that our combined efforts have helped to benefit the health of others.

Cheers,

Jeff
